Family Support

One of the most difficult challenges in life is trying to cope with a loved one who is struggling with an addiction to drugs and or alcohol. It is so important for families to have support and understanding to help them deal with this heart-breaking situation. 

Magnolia New Beginnings is dedicated to advocating for those affected with a substance use disorder, creating educational opportunities to inform and raise awareness about addiction, supporting those with this disease and their families in the process of seeking recovery, maintaining sobriety and reaching their highest potential through a new beginning.

Addiction Haven is a grassroots addiction organization empowering individuals and communities to learn the truth about addiction and recovery through advocacy, educational programs, collaboration, and community events. There is no shame in addiction, and by standing together, tall and proud, we can create recovery ready communities and provide effective prevention programs.

LICADD’s mission is to address the addictive climate of our times by providing initial attention and referral services to individuals, families, and children, through intervention, education, and professional guidance to overcome the ravages of alcohol, and other drug-related problems. We service all of Long Island Suffolk and Nassau Counties. Offices in Mineola, Holdbrook and Riverhead.

Founded in 2007, Families Against Narcotics is a grasss roots organization based in Macomb County, Michigan. Our mission is to save lives by empowering individuals and communities to prevent and eradicate addiction. Purpose: Raise awareness to the dangers of prescription narcotics. Support those affected by narcotic addiction. Erase the stigma of addiction.

The mission of A New PATH (Parents for Addiction Treatment & Healing) is to reduce the stigma associated with addictive illness through education and compassionate support and to advocate for therapeutic rather than punitive drug policies.

We are a group of parents working together, sharing experiences and unified in advocacy. We work collaboratively to effect change in the public perception of substance use disorder to further the understanding that addiction is a brain disease that should be treated as such both medically and judicially.

We are a concerned group of citizens coming together to provide awareness and education in the battle against heroin and opiate addiction.

Our mission at New Hope Family Addiction Support is to provide support as well as resources to the families whose children suffer from the disease of drug or alcohol addiction. Our focus is on helping the families recover and encourage family reunification.

The Missouri Network for Opiate Reform and Recovery based out of St. Louis works around the country to implement evidence based solutions to help all those affected by addiction from prevention program to harm reduction and on everyone’s path to recovery whether it’s the suffering addict or the loved one of an addict. We are one of the nations leaders in legislative reform and grassroots activism.

Our mission is to embrace, educate and empower families and communities impacted by substance use disorder. Our vision is “bringing the family voice to addiction and recovery.

P.I.C.K.’s mission is to provide awareness, resources, referral, prevention, education and life skills to parents of children in substance abuse situations and to educate professionals by providing resources for data collection, In-service trainings on current drug trends, family struggles and other topics by request.

Our Mission is to raise awareness and prevent drug abuse in the community through education and community partnerships.

Parents of Addicted Loved Ones is a support group of parents helping parents. We meet every week to offer addiction education and support, at no charge, for parents who are trying to save a son or daughter from addiction.

Parents Support Group NJ. Inc., is a non-profit program that facilitates self-help groups for mothers and fathers to help them understand and cope with the disease of addiction. We believe that addiction is an illness and changed attitudes and responses by the parents can greatly help a child’s recovery.

 

The SAVE A STAR Drug Awareness Foundation website provides helpful information and resources for drug users, communities and educators, children and young people who may be faced with the temptations of drug use, and parents and loved ones who seek a better understanding of drugs.
